LABOR DAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH. 2006 O'HANNON CELLARS, CABERNET SAUVIGNON, NAPA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA $24.99 O'Hannon Cellars is made exclusively for Du Vin Fine Wines by talented winemaker Matt Smith, owner of Blacksmith
Cellars. Over the last year, Matt and I have been working on bringing you this excellent value in 100% Napa Valley Cabernet
Sauvignon. Aged for two years in a combination of both new and used French and American Virginian oak. The wine has a dark
purple and red color with pretty aromas of camphor and cassis, and delicious ripe fruit flavors with a light cedar and coffee
aftertaste. This Cabernet is lightly tannic, medium-weight and is easily drinkable now, enjoy over the next couple of years.
75 CASES PRODUCED. The name O'Hannon is a tribute to my family's Irish heritage. My great grandfather
John O'Hannon came from Northeast Ireland from the County Antrim and my mother's family hails from Northwest Ireland in County
Donegal. The O'Hannon crest is a variation on the original O'Hannon coat of arms. Slainte!!! (cheers),
Dan.

2009 FRANÇOIS CHIDAINE, TOURAINE, SAUVIGNON BLANC, FRANCE $12.99 Classic
styled Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc from the master of Montlouis and Vouvray. Most of the fruit comes from Chidaine's
biodynamically farmed vineyards while some fruit comes from reliable local sources. Minerals and citrus
are packed into this beauty that shows surprising length and complexity for the appellation. This
is a great lower-priced alternative to the popular sauvignons produced in the eastern Loire Valley.
2008 FRANÇOIS CHIDAINE, ROUGE, VAL DE LOIRE, FRANCE $12.99 1/3
Cabernet Franc, 1/3 Cot (Malbec), 1/3 Pinot d'Aunis grapes. From 100% estate biodynamically farmed vines, this is a very
promising wine. Known primarily for making some of the greatest white wines in the Loire region, Chidaine has been farming
these vineyards for several years. Good dark concentration of fruit where neither varietal dominates, but rather compliments
the others. The faintly mineral nose shows notes of pepper melded with the red fruit and leads into a wine with medium tannins,
good concentration and length. Not a heavy wine, it has plenty of character, and bright acidity, which makes it a classic
food wine to go with difficult pairings.
