2008 ACCADIA, VERDICCHIO DEI CASTELLI DI JESI, "CONSONO", MARCHE, ITALY $14.99
Ah yes, fresh Verdicchio, perfect for summer, one of Italy's classic white wines for seafood. Dry with peach aromas, citrus-like, with a nutty quality, very refreshing. Where's the hot calamari?

2007 GEROVASSILIOU, MALAGOUSIA, GREECE $31.99
Evanghelos Gerovassiliou is generally credited with bringing back the rare Malagousia grape from extinction. This is a unique Greek white wine with excellent complexity and should not be missed.

2008 DOMAINE AMIDO, TAVEL, "LES AMANDINES", FRANCE $16.99
65% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 10% Syrah, 5% Clairette. Richly colored dry rosé, with cherry, strawberry and a touch of almond flavors. Lots of freshness on the palate, and with enough body to match wonderfully with cold pork roast, chicken salad and most picnic fare. One of France's classic rosé wine appellations.

Domaine Tselepos, Greece
RED SOIL VINEYARDS IN THE FOG, DOMAINE TSELEPOS, GREECE

2007 DELAS, CÔTES DU RHÔNE, "SAINT-ESPRIT", FRANCE $12.99
What a deal! Delas nailed it in the much talked about 2007 vintage. Made from 75% Syrah and 25% Grenache grapes, this medium-bodied dry red wine has complex black fruit flavors with outstanding complexity for the money. Open this beauty with well-seasoned, charred chicken on the grill and your friends will think that you are a genius. Highly recommended.

2008 DOMINIQUE PIRON, BEAUJOLAIS-ROSÉ, FRANCE $11.99
What? That's right, 100% Gamay grapes. Build your picnic around this pink puppy, just add sunshine.
